Do we have to charge the KinderGlo before using the first time?
No. As with any battery powered device, the KinderGlo will work for some period of time until the battery is exhausted. Feel free to play and enjoy until the battery is empty. If you have time to allow a full charge, it will simply assure the longest use time possible.
How do I know if the KinderGlo is charging?
On the Charging Base, directly above the KinderGlo logo there is a light. If the red light comes on when your KinderGlo character is set on the base, it is charging.
The red light never seems to turn green but it has charged for several hours. Is this OK?
Yes. As long as the red light comes on when your KinderGlo is set on the base, it is charging. We are seeing some units that are fully charged but the green light is not turning on. This is perfectly fine and will not harm anything.
How do I set the light color of and timing on the KinderGlo nightlight?
There is a single button on the base of the unit allowing you to sequence through the available colors and holding the button down for 3 seconds toggles between the 30 minute timer and continuously on. (The entire use guide can be viewed here.)
How long should the battery in the KinderGlo nightlight last?
The battery is rated for 500+ full charge and discharge cycles. Under normal use, it should last for years.
Can I charge any KinderGlo character on any KinderGlo charging base?
Yes, the KinderGlo nightlight characters are interchangeable with any KinderGlo charging base.
